FAQ

What is bead maille jewelry?
Bead maille combines traditional chain maille techniques with beads to create intricate designs. It blends strength and beauty in every piece.

Are all of your pieces handmade?
Yes! Every item at Spark of Nature is handcrafted by me using high-quality materials.

What materials do you use?
I use high-quality bright aluminum and anodized aluminum for their lightweight properties. Additionally, I use pure copper, which I allow to naturally oxidize and darken over time. For durability, I include surgical steel ear wires and stainless steel clasps. The beads used in my creations consist of sea glass, semi-precious stones, crystals, and Lucite. Each listing provides detailed information about the materials used.

Do you offer custom orders?
I definitely do! However, it depends on what you have in mind. If you have a specific color scheme, style, or occasion in mind, please feel free to reach out through the contact form or email.

Are your earrings safe for sensitive ears?
Yes — all earrings are made with surgical steel earwires, which are hypoallergenic and safe for most people with metal sensitivities.

How should I care for my jewelry?
Keep your jewelry dry and store it in a cool, clean place. A soft cloth can be used to gently wipe down metal or beads. Avoid exposing it to perfumes, lotions, or water for the longest-lasting shine. The bright aluminum chain maille can be cleaned with soap and water if it does not have beads.

Do you ship internationally?
Currently, I only ship within the U.S.

Can I find your jewelry in person?
Yes! You can find a selection of my work at Big Valley Antique Center and Whit's End Maker's Market, as well as at occasional events. I post updates about my locations and upcoming events on my social media and website under the "Events and Announcements" section.
